i got this from a magazine article which i read when i was in college -- years and years ago. i took note of it because i was angry then (not that i'm no longer angry now). it still represents the way i feel about certain things in my life.

"this is ___________ of ____________, and i resent you saying that everything is going to be ok! you don't know anything about my life! you don't know what i've been through in the last month! i really resent it! i'm tired of you people trying to tell me things that you don't have any idea about! i resent it!!!"

i took it in the context of my teachers dictating how i should act or feel about certain matters. i went to a catholic school which was repressive to say the least. most of the teachers had antiquated notions about life in general.

When a broken appliance is demonstrated for the repairman, it will work perfectly. 10. Build a system that even a fool can use, and only a fool will use it. 11.
