jun-jun and the boxers chronicles - continued

jun-jun and the boxers chronicles - continued
As told by: Dizondu (as in disundo ng Stripper)

1) What was the first thing you got hold of when the squabble between the Boxers (tayo yun mga guests) and Jun-jun started? And why?
Answer:
Top 3 stuff to save from Jun-jun
A)Of course my office bag and,

B) another bag which contains the props and prizes for the party (i.g. 1 kg of uncooked oats, 15 pieces of lollies and blindfold for the bride-to-be).

C) I also got hold of Jackie's phone which was just beside my bag when the chaos started.

2) What did you do next when you saw Jun-jun grabbing the bottle? (Your story please, from the time you saw him with the bottle up to point you were home already)
Answer:
There are so many ways to tell the story. I might as well make mine something like this:

Top 5 Reasons that made me Bote-phobic
A) I was so wa-poise to the point of stepping over the bed just so I would not have to go around the tip of the bed which was quite near to where Jun-jun was standing. And then he moved towards the bar with lots of BOTE.

B)I don’t want to be outrun by Jules again. Daya! He was just carrying a clutch bag.

C)I don’t want to witness again Judy with her big heavy backpack heading to the 4th floor..two steps at a time whereas the whole pack was scurrying towards the ground floor.

D) It’s hard to run downstairs while screaming your lungs out with “Guard! Guard!” and “May bote, may bote” or “May nanggugulo!”. Double the effort when your direction is upstairs. Again, why Judy? Whyyy?

E) I can’t take refuge again in Congo Grill to hide from a bote-wielding Jun-jun. Eh mas maraming bote dun noh!

3) And lastly, what do you think made Jun-jun go ballistic/psychotic?Answer:
The culprit must be Jules’ black “blouse”. Jun-jun must gone crazy over the prints. Or maybe, instead of extra cash, the “blouse” is an eye candy for Jun-jun and he just wanted to have it as a bonus compensation.

Or

The serious altercation between the Boxers and Jun-Jun was already starting and Chet got mad to Kathy for tearing up some posters…”babasahin pa daw nya”. Jun-jun can’t just take it…ayun nabaliw sya.

Mich’s retorts to Jun-jun’s demands “Take it or leave it!”, “You don’t wanna leave the room, okay we will leave you here. Let’s go girls!”

Or

Jackie’s “Ano?!!”. She just had to snapped a reply when she asked Jun-jun how much more does he want. The most apt reaction .

4) Bonus question: What did you gain from the experience?
Answer:
All in all, three things were charge to my personal experience:

A) We owe Jun-jun for inspiring the group to meetamorphose to new fortified group which is now suitably called "Jun-jun and the Boxers' (and formerly known as the Divas aka Berks).

B) I will try next time to have grace under pressure and not to panic just like Mich. One more thing, hindi bagay sa kaha ko ang maging damsel in distress.

MURPHY'S LAW

share and share alike i say...i first read this at the waiting room of dr. lapus -- the family opthalmologist. i'm not sure how relevant that information is -- just thought i had to say something by way of introduction. MURPHY'S LAW 1. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. 2. You will always find something in the last place you look. 3. No matter how long or how hard you shop for an item, after you've bought it, it will be on sale somewhere cheaper. 4. The other line always moves faster. 5. In order to get a loan, you must first prove you don't need it. 6. Anything you try to fix will take longer and cost you more than you thought. 7. If you fool around with a thing for very long you will screw it up. 8. If it jams - force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway. 9. When a broken appliance is demonstrated for the repairman, it will work perfectly. 10. Build a system that even a fool can use, and only a fool will use it. 11. Everyone has a scheme for getting ri...

shopaholic's corner

the wonders of divisoria! i went down to divisoria this weekend and i had a blast! i got there around 9am where the multitudes that visit the shopping mecca that is divisoria has just started to build up. divisoria is the place to go for anything and everything -- i tell you they sell anything you can think of. first of all, you have to go there in comfortable clothing -- you don't dress up when you go to divisoria. oh, and leave the bling behind -- you can't wear flashy jewellry lest you attract the wrong attention. be prepared to get your feet trodden and trampled so put on your grubbiest pair of sneaks. you have to have a list when you go there because you will get sidetracked into buying just about everything that you can see. next, you will need a budget -- if you have a target in mind then stregthen your resolve and do not falter. if you are out for a bargain then be prepared to haggle -- oh, the joys of haggling best adrenalin rush you can get without doing death defying...

down with the republic!

my grandmother passed away recently and the refusal of some church officials to allow my lola's last rites and burial mass to be held at the cathedral in laoag embroiled the family in a "battle" with church figures. the family regretably accepted the church's decision but then we were outraged when they went ahead and allowed another's funeral mass to proceed. the turnabout in their decision was allegedly because the deceased was a loyal supporter of the church (generous in monetary terms) and Fr. Jack in general. This prompted my cousin to write a letter to Fr. Jack, the Vicar General of the St. William's Cathedral. Her letter is copied below: 15 August 2004 Fr. Jacinto "Jack" Jose Vicar General St. William’s Cathedral, Laoag City An Expression of Disgust re Herminia A. Pichay-Monroy Funeral Mass Dear Father Jack Jose: This is to express my strong personal disappointment and frustration at the decision of the church council and management, to not al...
